Indian Auto Expo 2012 has automobile sector thinking hard
Horrific memories of a poorly organized Auto Expo 2010 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi cannot be easily forgotten.  Complaints of pitiable infrastructure and appalling conditions left many auto manufacturers in the lurch.  This time round, they are hoping for better management and facilities which are rather doubtful considering there are only five months left for the event to unveil in January 2012.

Increased participation is causing some space problems and participants are readying themselves for another disastrous experience.  As mentioned by a Chief Executive Office of an auto company, Asia's biggest auto event which should be organized on world class standards should have state of the art planning so as not to cause any further embarrassment to participants.

Auto industries invest a great deal of money for bookings, rent, accommodation, conveyance, travel, etc., and get substandard arrangements in return. Auto manufacturers feel Indian organizers should take a page out of the book from similar expos held in Shanghai or Geneva to improve conditions and ensure that the 2012 Auto Expo goes off without a hitch.
